I am getting pretty tired seeing all of these people proposing completely unbalanced skills in the Sardelac Sanitarium forum. Remember folks, if a skill changes the balance of the game then it will be considered unbalanced!

So... I say, let's show them how it should really be done!

I mostly play a Mesmer so I'll start us off with some Mesmer skills that should greatly improve the usefulness of Mesmers in both PVE and PVP (because, after all, Mesmers are pretty much useless in their current state).

Midas Touch (Illusion)
Type: Skill
Energy: 5
Casting time: 0.25
Recharge: 5
Description: target touched foe turns into 1..12 Platinum

Illusion of Blackout (Illusion)
Type: Stance
Energy: 5
Casting time: instant
Recharge: 5
Description: for 10..90 seconds, Blackout cast by the caster does not disable the skills of the caster.

Note: this skill is not linked to Domination in order to maintain game balance.

Energy Splash (Inspiration)
Type: Spell
Energy: 15
Casting time: 0.25
Recharge: 20
Description: target foe loses 5..15 energy. For each point of energy lost, caster and all allies gain 3 energy.

Confusion (Domination)
Type: Skill
Energy: 5
Casting time: 1
Recharge: 20
Description: for 10..25 seconds, target foe attacks his/her allies. All of target foe's skills are automatically used in the order that would cause maximum damage.

Note: this is not a new skill. It has been previously used in Random Arena and was nerfed by Anet in the 2/6 update. I am merely proposing to bring it back as it caused no balance issues whatsoever.

Signet of BFG {E} (Domination)
Type: Elite Signet
Energy: none
Casting time: 2
Recharge: 60
Description: foes in caster's line of sight are instantly killed. Signet of BFG cannot kill more than 8..25 foes.

Note: 60 seconds recharge to prevent this skill from being spammed. The idea is that Mesmers that also use Mantra of Signets, Mantra of Inscriptions and Echo will not be able to use this skill more than 4-5 times per minute. It is also an Elite to prevent it from being used together with Keystone Signet.

They're all terrible, all the skills are just slight variations of a set of basic skills and the ones that arent either turn out to be extremely overpowered or extremely crappy.

LMAO...

I have seen mesmers who completely owned in GvG & your calling them useless?

Please go away and find a game you can play...like pong, that should match your gaming level.

As to your skill suggestions.... I cannot think of anything to add that hasn't already been said.

FOTM Killer
Signet available for all classes
If oppnent is a flavor of the month build or something close, he instantly dies and is unressable... plus his corpse is considered exploted and won't count towards skills like iway.



It's overpowered but good for those of us who don't want to follow the pack just to get a PUG. ¦Þ
